Folding roof mechanism and sensors
Roof stops halfway or throws a fault. Usually a sensor, hydraulic line or alignment issue rather than the whole mechanism; we diagnose properly before quoting.

Every model has its own weak points. These are the ones we see most often in Dubai conditions — and how we deal with them.

The California was the first DCT Ferrari. Sump and cooler leaks, overdue fluid and lost adaptation are the usual causes of rough shifting.
Same turbo-era heat issues as the 488 family: charge-air leaks, coolant hoses and expansion tanks.
High-mileage cars wear bushings, ball joints and dampers. We inspect and replace with genuine parts and re-align.
Batteries, body modules, parking sensors and older infotainment units.
Steel or carbon-ceramic — measured and replaced when actually worn.
At Hallmark Auto Services we work on the Ferrari California / California T every week. We know its service schedule, its parts references and the faults it develops in Dubai’s heat, and we diagnose before we quote. Independent, transparent and specialised — dealer-level tools without dealer pricing.
Every job starts with a written estimate, uses genuine parts, is photographed as we go, and is covered by a six-month warranty.
Tell us what the car is doing — or just that it is due — and we will come back to you within working hours with a plan and an estimate.
Collection and delivery within Dubai is available on request.
WhatsApp is fastest. Or leave your number and we will call you back.
The Ferrari California was designed to be used every day, and many in Dubai are. That means higher mileage, more heat cycles and more wear than a weekend car. Hallmark Auto Services looks after the original 4.3-litre California, the 30 and HS variants, and the twin-turbo California T.
Annual or 10,000 km. Our California service includes engine oil and filter, a full inspection of roof operation, brakes, tyres, suspension and fluids, software check and a road test. Multi-year items — coolant, brake fluid, DCT fluid, plugs, belts — are scheduled and tracked for you.
On a car that may be ten years old or more, we tell you what is urgent, what can wait and what is not worth doing. Written estimates, genuine parts, a six-month warranty, and a workshop that has seen every California fault there is. Message us on WhatsApp to book.
Often not. Most roof faults are a position sensor, a latch or a low-fluid warning. We read the roof module, find the exact fault and quote for that, not for a new mechanism.
Ferrari's schedule is annual or every 10,000 km, whichever comes first. In Dubai heat we recommend not stretching it: oil, coolant and brake fluid age faster at 45°C, and a California that sits in traffic on SZR works harder than the schedule assumes.
Yes. Wear items, filters and fluids are genuine Ferrari or the OEM supplier's part; we tell you which and show you the invoice.
Servicing to the factory schedule with genuine parts and a full record does not void a manufacturer warranty, and a complete history from a known specialist is what buyers and pre-purchase inspectors look for.
A standard annual service is usually same-day. Diagnostics take a few hours; larger repairs get a written estimate and timeline before any work starts.
